You're Invited Floral Invitation
by Sheila Tolliver
(Jackhorn, Kentucky)
I began by cutting a piece of 12 x 6 inch Vanilla Cream Cardstock from Close To My Heart. I then scored each end at 3 inches. Fold that in toward center.
I then cut 2 pieces of 2 3/4 x 5 3/4 inch of Colonial White Cardstock from Close To My Heart. I also cut a piece of 5 1/2 x 5 1/2 Colonial White Cardstock from Close To My Heart.
I punched a circle from Colonial White Cardstock and punched a scalloped circle from Vanilla Cream Cardstock. I distressed the edges of each piece with Parchment Exclusive Close To My Heart Ink. On the 5 1/2 x 5 1/2 piece of Colonial White Cardstock I stamped a flourish border along top edge with Parchment Ink with a Close To My Heart My Acrylix Stamp.
I then stamped a small flourish 3 times in the bottom right with Parchment Ink. With Cocoa Exclusive Close To My Heart Ink I stamped "Date, Time, and Place". I sponged 8 small flowers from Petaloo with the Parchment Ink. I adhered one to bottom right of 5 1/2 x 5 1/2 Colonial White Cardstock. I then adhered this piece to inside center of card.
I stamped flourishes in corners of both 2 3/4 x 5 3/4 Colonial White Cardstock and glued these on front flaps of card, with flourishes in opposite corners. I then attached 3 flowers in each corner. I stamped "You're Invited" in Cocoa Exclusive Ink in center of Colonial White Cardstock Circle and stamped flourish along bottom right edge in Parchment. I attached this to Scallop Circle with Foam adhesive.
I cut a length of Taffy Colored Close To My Heart Organdy Ribbon and attached one edge alone left flap and placed the glue dot so it would not be seen when I attached the scalloped circle. I then attached the Scallop Circle to the left flap with Foam Adhesive. I attached another flower to bottom right of circle and tied the bow to finish off.
