Spongebob Squarepants Invitations
by Janet

I made these invitations for my niece recently for her Spongebob themed birthday party. She LOVED them! They were really easy to make...
I used some blank cards I purchased at Target for the base of the card and layered on some Spongebob scrapbooking paper I found at a local scrapbooking shop. To do this I simply cut the spongebob paper into squares the same size as the front of the blank cards, and attached it using some spray on adhesive. The stuff is super duper sticky, and gets a little bit messy, but boy does it WORK!
I cut some different spongebob paper into strips with my paper cutter, and then wrapped them around the invitation and secured it in the back with some double sided tape.
I made a tag for the front of the card by using a large round paper punch and a smaller paper punch to punch the little hole for the ribbon to run through. I colored the tag with some chalk ink pad in blue. The chalk ink applied semi lightly gives a sort of water - wave effect. Perfect for the Ocean/Spongebob Squarepants theme. I simply hand wrote the "you're invited" wording onto the tag.
I threaded a cute green ribbon through the tag and tied it around the invite.
I used an invitation wording stamp for the inside of the invite, stamped in a sea blue. My niece hand wrote the wording and details on the inside of the card, inviting her guests.
