Holiday seasons are often a sentimental time of year. Especially the winter holidays like Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's Eve. Taking the time to make these seasonal holiday cards yourself not only tell your friends and family that you are thinking of them, but are so much more personal and from the heart. There is just so much more to be said for a card created from your own hands than a sterile card bought at the local drug store.
Besides the sentimentality of the handmade greeting card, there is something to be said for the money you will save when you make greeting cards verses buying them. Refraining from lightening your wallet is never a bad thing during the Christmas season!
These ideas do not have to be limited to seasonal holiday cards.
Make greetings cards! Think Get Well cards! Sympathy cards! Thank you cards! Congratulations cards! the possibilities are endless of course!
If you are not the type to enjoy making your own holiday greeting cards then use this as an opportunity to get your kids involved. Encourage them to use their creativity! Use my ideas and instructions on card making as a kid's craft project instead. Keep the kids happy and busy and get your holiday cards sent out all at the same time!
