Handmade And DIY Wedding Invitations Contest 2011

We asked our readers to show off their creative prowess to enter to win some amazing prizes by submitting their best handmade and DIY wedding invitations ideas and tutorials. Whether it be handmade down to the very last scrap of paper or a semi-homemade DIY by incorporating their own designs with some plain pocketfolds and crafty details.
We chose the top THREE most creative and stylish homemade invitations to win some fantastic prizes from some amazing Etsy Artists. So, without further ado...
Our lovely panel of judges will decide who will become the top three winners. All of these ladies are experts when it comes to the DIY, Budget, and creative weddings. And our judges are:
First Place Prize
Custom Couture Wedding Album from Specht Couture Wedding Albums. The first prize winner will receive a large custom 9 x 12 wedding album created by Shelbye Specht of Specht Couture. These books are truly one of a kind creations, made by hand, all in one albums incorporating the guest book, wedding album, and scrapbook together as one book.
Second Place Prize
A Custom Calligraphy Package from Angelique, Ink. This second place prize package will include 50 envelopes hand addressed in your choice one of Angelique's original calligraphy styles, and 1 custom handwritten calligraphy return address stamp.
Third Place Prize
The third place prize package includes a gorgeous handmade ring bearer's pillow, a bridal sash, and a beautiful handmade bridal hair accessory from Avenue C of Etsy.com.
Random Drawing Giveaway We also held a random drawing giveaway amongst all of the prize entries to win a custom design printable invitation map from Yours Truly! The winner of the random drawing will receive a custom map with up to 4 locations to place within their wedding invitation envelopes, or even use them for OOT guest bags! So even if our judges do not pick your DIY wedding invitation as the winner, you still have a chance at winning something!
I asked each of our judges to give the best entries a score from 1-10 based on overall style, creativity, and originality. Those scores were then tallied up to determine our winners based on highest scores overall. Drumroll please... The Giveaway!As a bonus to the big competition we also held a random drawing giveaway amongst all of our contestants, to win a custom designed printable invitation map, courtesy of Do-it-yourself-invitations.com!All of the entries to the giveaway were assigned a number. We picked our giveaway winner's number using Random.org. And our giveaway winner is... #9 Amber from Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Amber also entered her Sparkle Peacock Wedding Invitations into our competition. Congrats Amber!
