Desktop Publishing Software Programs

There are many, many different desktop publishing softwares out there to choose from! For me to go over every one of them would be a whole other website altogether!
To design a greeting card or invitation template is probably one of the most simple uses for this type of software. Therefore no need to break the bank buying this unless you plan to use it for a lot more than just to make your own invitations or you better be throwing a lot of parties.. You can purchase very inexpensive versions of these softwares from most office supply stores or department stores. Wherever you might buy computer software. Another very good option would be to download this software for
FREE!
Many of the better (not free) DTP softwares will have free trials you can download straight off the web. This is a good way to try out a lot of different softwares. Each time you make a new template try out a different software. Eventually you'll be accustomed to which you like best in order to go ahead and purchase it. Once you get used to using these softwares I am sure you will find many different uses for them!
My personal favorite for dtp software is Adobe Pagemaker. This is a professional version of desktop publishing software. Other good examples of professional DTP softwares are Quark Express, or InDesign.I have been using Pagemaker since high school when I took the graphic arts shop class. After high school I went on to work for newspapers, print shops and copy centers, all of which I used Pagemaker for all of our publishing needs. The only downside to this software is that it is extremely expensive. You definitely have to have a lot of money and plan to use it for more than just to make your own invitations! Although I assure you that once you master how to use this software you will see a big difference in how much more versatile it is to use. They also offer a
free 30 day trial of Adobe Pagemaker
for anyone willing to give it a try. Pagemaker is not the easiest program for beginners to use, but I do find it to be very efficient. For a free tutorial on how to use this software click here -
