Birth Announcement Wording

Birth announcement wording is an important thing to consider if you are going to make your own birth announcements. The point of the birth announcement is of course to announce the actual birth of the baby, but also to introduce your new arrival to everyone you know!

Basic Information that should be included in your birth announcement wording:

* Baby's full name. Also feel free to include any nicknames you plan to use as well...

It is our pleasure
to announce the birth of
Lucinda Grace Hatch
"Lucy"
8 lbs. 4 oz.

or

It is our pleasure
to announce the birth of
Michael Hatch Jr.
"MJ"
9 lbs. 10 oz.

*The Birth Stats as in weight, length, and baby's actual birth date. You can also choose to include the exact time if you like.

* Parents and siblings names will be included somewhere on the announcement. You can add them at the top to announce the birth yourself, or at the bottom as a signature of sorts. Another option is to have the baby's older sibling announce the birth.

or

the arrival of her
new little sister

* The Introduction. There are many ways to word the introduction to the announcement. Hopefully this would come to you quite easily. After all, what would be more inspirational than the birth of a new child into your family?! Here are just a few suggestions:
- we are pleased to announce
- with joy in our hearts we announce
- we joyfully welcome
- we proudly announce
or you could even go a step further and add a short poem.
